Is Lost Good?

So many people are talking about it I’m about to die not knowing what it’s all about. My only problem is that I’m afraid to start in the middle, and I missed the recap episode. Trae said he has the first season on DVD; perhaps I can borrow his discs.

Utter Failure

Two days since I refocused this goal to be simply to keep from biting my nails while at work. Judging by the number of times I caught myself doing what I willed myself not to, I figure I failed twenty times over the last two days!

The good news is I’ve actually been monitoring myself a bit, so I’m more conscious of the habit. Step two is actually to resist the urge.

This makes me think about how grateful I am that I never got hooked on cigarettes or alcohol or drugs or whatever. I don’t think I’d have the strength to ever quit.

Success!

We had our first meeting tonight and we had nine people. Considering the target size for these groups is 8-10 people, I’d say our group is perfect! Discussion was good, and I’m looking forward to the weeks to come.

We had a wonderful time at Mom and Dad's place today. I got to ride this machine, which was a lot of fun. I've uploaded a few pictures. There's a few more photos I'd like to tweak a bit, so I'll upload them tomorrow or the next day.

Childhood Games

We had a nice weekend at the lake. Along with the usual (riding watercraft, tubes and such), we fired up the old NES and played some old-school Super Mario Brothers 3. While game technology and graphics have changed considerably in the years since my childhood, the gameplay of the original Mario Brothers titles still has a special place in my heart. Graphics aside, I'm not sure gameplay will ever be much better than jumping on turtles and smashing boxes.
