Utter Failure
Two days since I refocused this goal to be simply to keep from biting my nails while at work. Judging by the number of times I caught myself doing what I willed myself not to, I figure I failed twenty times over the last two days!
The good news is I’ve actually been monitoring myself a bit, so I’m more conscious of the habit. Step two is actually to resist the urge.
This makes me think about how grateful I am that I never got hooked on cigarettes or alcohol or drugs or whatever. I don’t think I’d have the strength to ever quit.
