Server Woes

Some may have noticed that our Web server had an unfortunate fall last week.

We host our websites from our own server in our home. It seems to work OK, and we save a bit of money on hosting. Mostly, though, it allows me and Justin to install just about anything we want to play around with. I suppose you could call it our Web Sandbox. Or something like that.

Anyway, so it went down last week. I had a backup solution in place that had worked perfectly for over a year, but a few months prior to the server downage, it stopped working. I thought to myself, I'll fix that tomorrow... And tomorrow became the next day, then the next, and so on.

So we learned a valuable lesson.

Care Group

Our Care Group met last night and had a great time. Jennie cooked some wonderful meatballs and possibly my new favorite, sweet-potato fries (minus the dill dipping sauce of course).

Our Care Group always has a fun and meaningful time together. We chase rabits occasionally, but always manage to stray back to our study conversation. I think God has blessed our group. I pray he continues to do so.

Halo

Jason, Justin, and I have been playing excessive amounts of Halo 2. (Jennie can also attest to that.)

We had a nice, relaxing day. Church this morning, lunch at Bellacino's, and hanging out at home. Tim & Jason played xbox while I took a nap and got on the internet.

3 1/2 years

Today is Tim & my 3 1/2 year anniversary. In six months we will celebrate 4 years of fantastic marriage!

Vacation in Cancun

So far we've had little or no communication, even with each other. Mine
and Jennie's room is 200 yards away from Richard and Cherrie's, and we
cannot call and talk to each other because of some phone problems they've
been having here. We just now found a wireless Internet connection that
works ($12/day). Phone calls to the US are $28/minute. Cell phones don't
work here unless you have an old analog one - GSM? What is GSM?

But aside from that we've been having an awesome time. The weather is
amazing -- perfect temperature day and night. The pools are unbelievable,
as is the beach and the ocean. Yesterday we went to Cozumel for shopping
and snorkeling. We had tons of fun and were definitely pooped afterward.
We left Cancun around 8:00 in the morning and returned about 8:00 or 9:00
in the evening.
